The Sydney International Boat Show is the place to be from August 1 to 4 this year to celebrate all things related to boating and the marine lifestyle. This prestigious event has been held for more than 50 years and continues to delight boat enthusiasts with attractions. Virtue Yachts will be represented at the event by partner brand Carbon Yachts, which will present the Virtue V10 Top yacht to the audience.
A unique event in Sydney
This four-day event is one of the most important and largest marine lifestyle events in the Southern Hemisphere, with its origins dating back to 1968. For more than 50 years, the Sydney International Boat Show has been a veritable paradise for watersports and surfing enthusiasts, as well as recreational boaters and superyacht owners. Nowadays, the show is held in the heart of Sydney: at Darling Harbour, the International Convention Center and Cockle Bay Marina, enjoying huge popularity.
Top attractions for boat enthusiasts
Last year’s event attracted more than 46,000 visitors, and this year the organizers plan to break that record by providing top-level attractions. The Sydney International Boat Show will showcase a wide range of products, from paddleboards to power cruisers, from sailboats to fishing equipment, as well as luxury yacht charters or water sports equipment. This is a great opportunity to check out the latest technology in boating, as well as experience incredible entertainment on the water.

Main Stage in the ICC hall
The Main Stage is the place to learn all about fishing at the 2024 Sydney International Boat Show and watch educational fishing demonstrations. The stage will feature the country’s leading experts, including Paul Burt, Andrew “ET” Ettingshausen, Tim Simpson, Justin Duggan, Greg Reid, Peter “PJ” Johnson and Rhys Creed.
Shimano Fishing Tank Show
This attraction will be hosted by Australia’s favorite fishing expert, Dave “Mossy” Moss. With his vast knowledge and enthusiasm for fishing, Mossy will share practical advice. As an added bonus, prizes for the audience from Shimano, Lowrance and Gamakatsu will be given away after each show. The Shimano Fishing Tank Show will be held on the Main Stage in the ICC hall.
Discover Sailing & Paddling Hub Stage
This will feature talks from invited sailing experts and personalities, adventurers and rowers who have achieved success on the water and will answer questions such as how to get out on the water without relying on an engine, how to tie expert knots for sailing or try your hand at packing a Spinnaker. One highlight will be a meeting with Australian sailor and sustainability activist Lisa Blair, who has just returned from setting a new world record for circumnavigating New Zealand aboard her iconic vessel Climate Action Now. Visitors will also have the unique opportunity to speak with Lisa in person and tour her ship in the marina. Discover Sailing & Paddling Hub is located on the Cockle Bay waterfront, Marina Foreshore.
